After rearranging my studio layout to get more space, I moved cut metal forms that were left over from my previous body of work to another location. The next day my curiosity mounted as I studied what had been put down haphazardly. It grabbed my attention so I left them there to see where it would take me.

Much to my wonder and excitement, the metal forms produced questions that started me working in a new direction . The work investigates shaped, sculptural wall reliefs. An architectonic form that is part of the sculpture, protrudes into the gallery space. The radical change takes place using dimensional drawings as I reshape line, space, texture and color. Dimensional photographs help me to integrate the peripheral shape and sculptural depth.

They have the appearance of an enameled metallic surface. The light emanates from the highly reflective surface.

I shape and bend the reliefs by hand. The reliefs encompass sculpture, painting and drawing.
